  I went to Mass here just last month as I was visiting family in Decatur. The number of liturgical abuses warrants an investigation either by Bishop Paprocki or the Congregation of Divine Worship. To list a few: the Crucifix is shoved off in a corner and is not front and center, the processional cross is a "resurrected cross" not a Crucifix, offerings are brought up to the altar table (prohibited), Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion are referred to as Eucharistic Ministers (prohibited), EMoHC give blessings to people who do not receive Communion (prohibited), the Priest does not purify the sacred vessels (prohibited), instead the EMoHC go straight back to the Sacristy to have the Sacristan purify them (prohibited), a unhabited nun was allowed to give a speech about the lack of vocations during Mass (prohibited), and I could go on. These grave abuses to the Liturgy and the Blessed Sacrament should leave any well-catechized Catholic with a sickness in their stomach. Do not go here until they have conformed to the Church.

  I like bringing my family here to listen to a positive message. I feel inspired going to mass.
